Browser tools are free
Local processing and downloads have no subscription charge or account requirement. Your device and browser set the practical processing limits. Hosting allowances apply only when you upload.
Compare hosting allowances
| Allowance | Visitor | Free account | PRO |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | Free | $20/month or $180/year |
| Maximum file | 5 MiB | 20 MiB | 20 MiB |
| Retention | 24 hours | 7 days | No routine expiry while PRO remains active |
| Retained storage | Temporary uploads | 1 GiB | 10 GiB |
| Upload attempts per UTC day | 25 | 250 | 2,500 |
| Upload bytes per UTC day | 50 MiB | 500 MiB | 5 GiB |
| Delivery allowance | 100 MiB per file per UTC day | 10 GiB per account per UTC month | 100 GiB per account per UTC month |
MiB and GiB use binary units. Attempts include started uploads, not only successful files. Shared service capacity and abuse controls also apply; your dashboard shows current account usage. Deleted storage is released after background cleanup.
Keep a visitor upload with a free account
After hosting a tool output, use its claim link and sign in. Your first successful free claim keeps the same URL and sets expiry seven days from that claim. Repeating the claim does not extend it again.
PRO and billing
PRO provides larger allowances and supports permanent claims. Longer retention depends on your account status and the service policies; FooPixel is not a backup for your originals. CDN is a separate action for the account owner and is not enabled just by upgrading.

The signed-in billing page shows checkout availability. Payments use Freemius; review the current amount, billing period and any applicable charges in checkout before purchasing.
Formats and limits
Hosted still images are validated and may be resized or stripped of metadata. The direct image uploader accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF. The browser image tool exports WebP. MP4 and GIF hosting accepts clips up to 60 seconds and 2000 pixels per side, subject to your file-size limit. Keep your local export if you need its exact bytes.
