A clear place for your media.

1. Agreement and service

By using FooPixel, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Notice. FooPixel is a media tools and hosting service. The service may change, pause, or be withdrawn while it is being built.

FooPixel is a FooPlugins service. Questions can be sent to hello@foopixel.com.

2. What FooPixel does

The browser tools let you prepare and download media locally without an account. Optional hosting accepts supported images and short MP4 or GIF files under the published limits. Images may be resized, optimized or stripped of metadata; hosted MP4 may be re-encoded. Keep your original and local export separately.

We check uploads before making them available. We may refuse, restrict or remove files under our account rules, content checks, legal duties or these Terms. Access may end before stored copies are removed. Keep your own copies: hosting is not a backup or a promise of lasting availability.

How long we keep your files

Unclaimed visitor uploads expire after 24 hours.

Files have no expiry for active Free and PRO accounts, subject to account limits and these Terms. Account verification is required.

Your plan has these limits:

GiB is a measure of file size: 1 GiB is 1,024 MiB.

Full storage stops you adding files; we do not delete files to make room. Delete files or upgrade where available. Space is freed when cleanup finishes. Reaching your delivery limit can stop people viewing files, but does not change their expiry dates.

Keeping visitor uploads

“Keep this upload” adds an eligible visitor upload to your account, within your plan’s limits.

Before you confirm sign-in or an agent connection, we show which of its visitor uploads will fit. We add eligible files oldest first. Files that do not fit keep their existing expiry dates.

Opening a claim link or dashboard does not keep files by itself. Expired or deleted files cannot be brought back this way.

When PRO ends

These periods start when your paid PRO period ends:

• If your eligible saved files fit within the 1 GiB Free limit, an eligible verified account can keep them without expiry.
• If they do not fit, you have 30 days to delete enough files to bring the eligible library within 1 GiB. During that time, existing public links keep working unless another restriction applies. New files cannot be added while storage is over the Free limit. We do not choose which files to keep for you.
• Once the eligible library fits during those 30 days, its remaining eligible files can stay without expiry.
• If it still does not fit at the end of day 30, public access ends. You can recover eligible files from your account until day 90. After that, they are deleted unless you renew in time under the renewal rules.

Moving to Free does not make restricted files or files available only for recovery public again. Deleted files cannot be restored this way. Other account and service limits still apply.

CDN delivery and saved resized images

A content delivery network (CDN) serves copies of files to viewers. CDN delivery is included for eligible public files from verified Free and active PRO accounts, even if they have an expiry date. Links and expiry dates stay the same.

A private file’s own link stays private. If you put that file in an open public gallery, its original may use CDN delivery through the gallery link. Each new request checks whether the gallery is still public and the file still belongs there and to its owner. Passcode-protected galleries do not use public CDN delivery.

CDN delivery counts toward your delivery limit whether a copy is reused or fetched again. PRO accounts can clear CDN copies and request saved resized images. Cache clearing has a waiting period between requests. We do not guarantee a saved copy or a particular speed.

Copies in a viewer’s browser

A browser may reuse an account-owned public file for up to 10 minutes before checking again. A set expiry or access deadline can shorten that time. New requests check current access rules. Browser reuse does not use your delivery allowance.

Browsers do not save unclaimed visitor uploads for reuse. Passcode-gallery copies may be reused only in the browser that accessed them, within the same time limit.

We cannot take back a copy someone has already viewed or downloaded. They may keep it after its link stops working or the 10-minute period ends.

Inactive Free accounts

We may remove files from, or close, a Free account after three months without sign-in. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before doing this. Uploads, API activity and other people viewing public files do not reset this period.

After a pass, the service returns a public URL built from an unguessable asset identifier. It is a sharing address, not a promise that anyone who obtains the address will be blocked.

Ownership, billing and delivery settings require the appropriate account-owner action. The account interface shows current options and availability. The automatic WordPress connector is planned and is not available to install.

3. Eligibility and your responsibility

You must be legally able to accept these Terms and must have the rights and permissions needed to upload each file. You are responsible for the content you submit, the destinations where you use a public URL, and complying with laws that apply to you.

Do not upload content prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy. Do not use FooPixel to test attacks, evade moderation, distribute malware, or interfere with another person's service or privacy.

4. Content and rights

You retain rights you already hold in your content. You grant FooPlugins the limited permissions needed to receive, normalize, moderate, store, secure, deliver, and delete the content as part of the service. This permission ends when the relevant bytes and operational copies are deleted, except where a short retention period is needed for security, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

We may refuse, restrict, remove, or report content that appears to violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or a lawful request. We may preserve limited evidence needed to investigate abuse or protect the service.

5. Availability and changes

FooPixel is provided as a developing service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular processing time, permanent URLs, successful moderation outcomes, or that the service will meet a particular business or regulatory requirement. Keep your own copies of important content.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date above will identify the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service.
